We’ve made it! What a lovely end to the term. It has been our busiest week of the year, filled with festive cheer and happy memories. From the beautiful singing of 'Carols around the Christmas Tree' to the busy hands making Christmas crafts, it has been fantastic to see the children so engaged. We also had a brilliant time celebrating together with our Christmas party – and having a visit from a very special person… and Scarlett the Elf! Our Christmas dinner yesterday was beautiful. A huge thanks to Barry! It was the perfect way to end the term.

Thank you and well done to everyone who entered our Christmas Bauble competition. I am always amazed by the creativity of our children; the standard this year was exceptionally high!

Choosing winners was a very difficult task for the judges, but we are delighted to announce that the prizes went to the creative 'Santa' bauble, a beautiful abstract flower, a clever depiction of the whole world, and an impressively detailed Brussel sprout! A huge well done goes out to our winners and to every single child who took the time to enter; your imagination never ceases to amaze me.

Looking ahead to the next few days, there are some lovely community events to keep in mind. The Crib and Christingle service is at the church on Sunday at 4pm, and the Christmas Disco at the Community Centre is on Monday, from 5pm-7pm.

On a personal note, the staff and I would like to say a huge thank you for the lovely gifts we have received. Your thoughtfulness and generosity are truly appreciated and mean so much to the whole team.

Please find below key dates for your diary for the week beginning Monday 5th January 2026:
*Wednesday 7th January – SCHOOL REOPENS
*Wednesday 7th January - PE with Andy for the whole school, PE kit needed.

** Please note there are no after-school clubs this week. They will begin on Tuesday 13th January. **

Finally, I hope you are able to cherish this special time with your children, family, and friends. At its heart, this season is a perfect reminder of the importance of love, and I hope your homes are filled with both. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support throughout 2025; our school community is so much stronger because of the partnership we share with you.

On behalf of everyone at the school, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful new year.

We look forward to seeing you all in 2026!

With warmest wishes.
