Children in our Nursery and Reception now have a lot of their learning logged on a fantastic online learning journal called Tapestry. It allows parents and carers to learn more about what their children have been doing in school and also can be updated with their learning experiences at home! For more information look at http://tapestry.info and see Mrs Mogford for your unique login.
A visit to the Vets!
Nursery and Reception children were lucky enough to have a trip to visit the vet in Aspatria this week. They have been learning about different types of animals and how we can care for them. Thanks to Beacon Vets.
Well done to all that took part in the small schools football competition today at the Sands Centre in Carlisle. Despite not returning the trophy to the school they had a great day and played really well. Good effort guys and girls.
In December 2015, following a 10 year-long tenure, Mr Mitchelhill has retired from his post as Headteacher of Crosscanonby St John's Primary School. He will be sadly missed by pupils, staff and parents alike.
I would like to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of this lovely, vibrant and high-achieving school. My name is Mr Steele and i am looking forward to meeting and working with the staff, pupils, parents and local community in the near futue.
Look out for a new website in the near future and we plan to be giving out lots of information as we take this school foward in the futue.
If you have any questions or would like to visit us then feel free to get in touch.
Mr C Steele
